Joey is a Software Engineer at Waymo. He began his career at Google Ads working on ad serving, spent some time with the Quantum AI team building large-scale quantum circuit simulations, and ultimately joined Waymo to work on data infrastructure, where he’s been for the past 7 years. At Waymo, his work has mostly focused on building Dataflow-powered time-series frameworks to process Waymo’s corpus of driving logs. More recently, he has shifted focus towards low-latency compute and streaming inference to enhance the observability of the Waymo fleet.
